Eyebrow Correction in Berlin
Environmental influences and the natural aging process also affect the eyebrow area. Sagging eyebrows give the entire face a tired and sad expression. Drooping eyelids and forehead wrinkles are exacerbated by the tissue weakness that caused the eyebrows to sag.
An eyebrow lift repositions sagging eyebrows - this makes the gaze and facial expression appear fresh and youthful again. Drooping eyelids and forehead wrinkles are eliminated or significantly reduced with an eyebrow correction in Berlin.
In our Berlin specialist practice for plastic and aesthetic surgery, we perform eyebrow lifts using various techniques according to current, very high standards. Medical and aesthetic excellence are important to us. With our medical art, we want to help you achieve natural beauty, youthful radiance, and a positive attitude towards life. In addition to a surgical brow lift, we also offer our patients a non-surgical eyebrow correction in Berlin with Botox or fillers.

I usually perform a direct eyebrow lift or a Brazilian Brow Lift under local anesthesia, as both procedures are not very strenuous. For an indirect eyebrow lift, however, you usually receive general anesthesia. Whether the procedure is performed on an outpatient or inpatient basis depends on the extent of the procedure - of course, you can express your personal wishes in this regard. The hospital stay usually lasts one day. Before the actual eyebrow lift, I draw the exact incision line on the surgical area with a skin pen. Afterwards, you will receive local anesthesia or an anesthetic. Local anesthesia is complemented by a light sedative, so that you experience the operation in twilight sleep. The operation lasts 1.5 to two hours. Afterwards, the incisions are sutured and the surgical area is bandaged. The sutures are removed after 14 days.
An eyebrow lift is considered a low-risk procedure - however, as with any other operation, complications such as post-operative bleeding, wound healing disorders or allergic reactions can occur. Infections, nerve damage in the surgical area or an unsatisfactory surgical result are extremely rare with a professionally performed eyebrow correction. One week before the operation, please stop taking pain medication, sleeping pills and blood-thinning medication. You should refrain from consuming nicotine and alcohol during this time and for a few weeks after the procedure, or reduce it to a minimum. On the first two days, wound pain cannot be completely avoided, but can be well managed with a light painkiller. Swelling and bruising subside over a longer period during the healing phase.
You only need to wear a bandage on the first day after the eyebrow lift. The next day it will be removed during a check-up. If you were treated as an inpatient and the healing process is undisturbed, you can then leave the clinic. After an outpatient procedure, please come to my practice for a follow-up appointment. In the following weeks, we will arrange several further examination appointments. In the first few days after an eyebrow lift, physical rest is important. Continued cooling helps against swelling and hematomas. You will be able to work and socialize again after one to two weeks. After the bandage has been removed, the operated facial region may come into contact with water again. Please refrain from using make-up in the area of the eyebrows and forehead until the sutures have been removed. Strenuous physical activity, sports and sauna visits are possible again after three weeks. Until the final completion of the healing process, you should protect your eyes and forehead from strong sunlight and artificial UV light (solarium). Regular scar care, which I will advise you on as part of the aftercare, is also important during the healing phase.
Eyebrow lift - for a youthful appearance and well-being
Due to the natural aging process, the eyebrows also sag over time. The reason for this is an increasing loss of skin elasticity. The skin no longer helps to keep the eyebrows in their original position - this task is increasingly taken over exclusively by the forehead muscles. This in turn intensifies wrinkle formation in the forehead area. In addition, the sagging of the eyebrows often leads to drooping eyelids - an upper eyelid correction alone is not always sufficient to remedy this optical defect.
An eyebrow correction in Berlin sustainably corrects sagging eyebrows and drooping eyelids. At the same time, the procedure counteracts the rapid progression of skin aging in the forehead area. Optionally, an eyebrow lift can be well combined with a forehead lift or a lipofilling of the face for wrinkle treatment. In our practice, you can book these wrinkle treatments in addition to your eyebrow correction in Berlin.
What results can be achieved with an eyebrow lift?
By lifting the eyebrows, the entire face regains its fresh and youthful expression. Drooping eyelids are eliminated by the operation, so that the gaze is opened. The overall appearance of the face is refreshed. Asymmetrical eyebrows can also be corrected with an eyebrow lift if necessary.
The first results of the eyebrow correction are visible just a few days after the procedure. The final result is achieved after about three months, when the last swellings have subsided. The result of the operation lasts for seven to ten years. So you leave our practice after your eyebrow correction in Berlin with a good feeling for yourself and your future.

Where are incisions necessary for an eyebrow lift?
Different incision techniques are used for our eyebrow correction in Berlin. Which technique is applied depends on the individual circumstances of the patient.
In a direct eyebrow lift, an incision is made at the upper border of the eyebrows and a narrow strip of skin is removed. This repositions the eyebrow. The scar runs along the hairline of the eyebrows - people with thin eyebrows must expect that it will be visible to a certain extent with this technique. This form of eyebrow lift is performed under local anesthesia.
An indirect eyebrow lift is also called a temporal or temple lift. The incision is made laterally above the hairline. By removing a strip of skin and refixing the deeper tissues, the eyebrows are lifted from above. The scar is later completely covered by the hair. In my specialist practice for plastic and aesthetic surgery in Berlin, we usually perform this procedure under general anesthesia.
In a so-called Brazilian Brow Lift, an incision is also made in the hairy lateral head area. The skin is completely detached from the muscle tissue. The repositioning of the eyebrows is done by pulling the skin upwards and fixing it to the deeper muscle fascia with sutures. The scar also remains invisible with a Brazilian Brow Lift. It can be performed under local anesthesia.
A lifting of the eyebrows is also possible non-invasively by injections with Botox or a filler. However, the result of such an eyebrow correction is not permanent, the treatments must be repeated at regular intervals.

Eyebrow correction in our Berlin practice – individual and with optimal results
Before an eyebrow lift in our Berlin practice for plastic and aesthetic surgery, we meet for a detailed individual consultation. At this appointment, we get to know your wishes and expectations for the eyebrow lift. We explain the different surgical procedures and suggest a technique with which we can achieve an optimal surgical result. Components of our initial consultation also include a comprehensive anamnesis and a physical examination. Based on this information, we create an individual treatment plan for you.
Immediately before the procedure, we discuss its course and the aftercare again. Of course, our practice is available to answer your questions at any time, both before the operation and during the recovery phase.

Frequently asked questions
An eyebrow lift is suitable for women as well as men who feel that sagging eyebrows and hooded eyelids are a hindrance. Asymmetrical eyebrows can also be corrected by this procedure. The procedure positions the eyebrows higher, while simultaneously tightening the skin in the forehead area.
The development of hooded eyelids is favored, among other things, by the sagging of the eyebrows. In an early stage, an upper eyelid lift is often sufficient to correct this aesthetic defect. For pronounced hooded eyelids, an eyebrow lift will give you a better and, above all, more sustainable result.
Age should not be the deciding factor for an eyebrow lift - what matters is whether you are dissatisfied with the appearance of your eye and forehead region. In principle, the procedure is possible at any age. An early eyebrow lift often achieves particularly good and sustainable results.
The Brazilian Brow Lift is a special technique for eyebrow lifting. Skin and muscles are pulled upwards and fixed with a suture above the hairline, without removing excess tissue. It is particularly suitable when the sagging of the skin in the eyebrow region is not yet far advanced.
The result of an eyebrow lift lasts for at least seven to ten years.
If the eyebrows sag again due to natural skin and tissue aging, there is usually nothing to prevent a repeat of the procedure.
A professionally performed eyebrow lift causes only very fine scars. However, people with very thin eyebrows must expect that the scar running above the base of the eyebrows will be at least partially visible after a direct brow lift. In an indirect brow lift or a Brazilian Browlift, the scars are completely covered by the hair on the head.
Yes. A brow lift is also possible with Botox or fillers. However, you will not achieve a permanent result with this, but will have to repeat the injection of the eyebrows at regular intervals.
Such combinations are not only possible, but in many cases even desirable to achieve an optimal overall result. Options include, for example, a forehead lift, eyelid corrections, or wrinkle treatment using lipofilling.
Certain pre-existing conditions or medications that cannot be discontinued can be contraindications to an eyebrow lift. Such points will also be discussed during the consultation - it is important that you inform me openly and completely about them. In many cases, a solution to perform the procedure can still be found.
