Hyaluronic Acid Wrinkle Injection

Hyaluron Injection in Berlin

Wrinkles cannot be prevented over the course of life. They arise due to various factors – environmental influences, facial expressions, and the natural aging process of the skin. From the perspective of aesthetic medicine, mimic wrinkles (dynamic wrinkles) and so-called static wrinkles are distinguished.

Static wrinkles arise due to the effects of gravity and as an aging effect. Over time, the skin loses moisture and elasticity. In the deeper tissue layers, connective tissue is broken down. In addition, bone substance can change. This leads to the formation of wrinkles on the one hand, and changes in facial contours on the other.

A wrinkle injection with fillers is able to sustainably smooth static wrinkles and improve and rejuvenate the overall facial contour. Depending on the treatment goal, fillers also enable comprehensive modeling of the entire face or individual facial areas. Through wrinkle treatment with fillers, your facial features will look youthful and fresh again – your personal radiance often improves to a very high degree.

In our specialist practice for plastic and aesthetic surgery in Berlin, I – Dott. Mag. Andrea Caletti – offer our patients a Hyaluron Injection for the treatment of static wrinkles.

Depending on your personal circumstances, however, alternative filler treatments – for example, lipofilling with autologous fat – may also be used. Every treatment is, of course, optimally tailored to your individual wishes and the jointly agreed treatment goal.

If you wish to have a Hyaluron Injection in Berlin, you are in the best hands in our practice. With our treatment, you achieve a natural result and look as young as you feel.

The Hyaluron Injection enables a gentle and sustainable wrinkle treatment. A surgical procedure is not required for this – the filler is injected into the skin areas to be treated. This gives you a younger, fresher appearance. Depending on the extent of the treatment, your entire facial contour improves. Wrinkles are significantly softened or can completely disappear with the injection.

What is Hyaluronic Acid?

Hyaluron Injection Techniques
There are various techniques for injecting Hyaluron, and an experienced surgeon knows which technique will deliver the best result when.

Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that is also produced by the body itself. It occurs in various tissues – it is particularly highly concentrated in the skin, eyes, and in muscles and joints. In the organism, hyaluronic acid fulfills numerous functions: Among other things, it contributes to the regulation of the moisture balance of cells and tissues and counteracts inflammation.

The skin gains elasticity, firmness, and volume through hyaluronic acid. Its immense ability to bind water and thus store moisture in the tissue is particularly effective here. However, with increasing age and as a result of environmental influences, the amount of hyaluronic acid in the body continuously decreases. This changes the structure of the connective tissue in the face and thus also the facial contours.

Hyaluronic acid as a filler for wrinkle injection is produced by biosynthetic processes. Various preparations are used for this, the selection of which depends on the desired treatment result and should fundamentally only be made by an experienced plastic and aesthetic surgeon. Hyaluronic acid has been used for many years for medical and cosmetic treatments. It is applied in liquid form.

Results & Durability

What results can be achieved with a hyaluronic acid injection in Berlin?

Wrinkle formation depending on age
As we age, the human body produces increasingly smaller amounts of collagen and hyaluronic acid, leading to the formation of wrinkles.

With a wrinkle injection using hyaluronic acid, you can achieve natural facial rejuvenation without surgery in a minimally invasive way. Wrinkles are smoothed, and the entire face appears significantly firmer. Depending on the treatment goal, comprehensive modeling of the face or individual facial areas – cheeks, nose, or jawline – is also possible.

You will see the first results of the treatment immediately after the procedure. However, since the filler will continue to distribute in the skin over the next few days, the final result of the treatment will only be visible after about two weeks. During this time, the overall skin appearance also improves, as hyaluronic acid acts as a moisture booster.

How long does a wrinkle treatment with filler last?

Skin aging due to environmental influences
Our skin ages relentlessly, primarily due to environmental influences such as UV radiation.

Hyaluronic acid is a temporary filler. Over time, it is broken down by the body, so no permanent treatment result is achieved. How quickly this breakdown occurs depends on various factors. The treated facial areas and the depth of the filler injections are of crucial importance here: The breakdown of hyaluronic acid is significantly controlled by a specific enzyme called hyaluronidase, which is present in different concentrations in various skin areas and tissue layers.

On average, the results of a hyaluronic acid injection last ten to twelve months. With the use of new generation products, a durability of up to 14 months is also possible. The treatment can be repeated as often as desired. If necessary, any newly emerged problem areas will also be included.

Which wrinkles are suitable for a hyaluronic acid injection?

Hyaluronic acid is suitable for plumping up small superficial fine lines as well as for treating deep wrinkles, such as those that develop with increasing age in the nasolabial area, for example. Wrinkle treatment with this filler is optimal when it is intended to eliminate so-called static wrinkles, which arise due to gravity and the natural aging process. Hyaluronic acid is also ideally suited for desired volume building in the face.

Expression lines, which form due to facial movements and the associated muscle contractions, are, on the other hand, less suitable for a hyaluronic acid injection, as mimic effects are not softened by it. For these wrinkles, botulinum toxin (Botox) generally achieves a better and more sustainable result.

Depending on the individual starting situation, a combination of wrinkle injection and Botox can also be useful. If you visit our practice for a hyaluronic acid injection in Berlin, I will, of course, advise you on which filler is best suited for your desired result.

Frequently Asked Questions

Wrinkles can be divided into two basic categories. Mimic wrinkles are dynamic wrinkles. They arise from the movements of the facial muscles. Since muscle contractions occur in the same places repeatedly, fine lines or even deeper wrinkles form sooner or later. This category includes, for example, forehead and frown lines or the well-known crow's feet around the eyes. Static wrinkles, on the other hand, develop without muscle involvement. Gravity and the natural aging process, which among other things causes a loss of skin volume, are responsible for this. These can be small skin changes, but also deep furrows. Static wrinkles, as well as scars and skin depressions, can be very well compensated by fillers, as the fillers specifically bring volume to these areas. In addition, fillers such as hyaluronic acid or collagen support the natural regeneration of the skin, which also contributes to an optimal therapy result.

Due to the natural aging process, bone, fat, and collagen are increasingly broken down. As a result, the face loses volume, so that over time the entire facial contour can change. Volume building with hyaluronic acid or other fillers ensures that the face appears firmer, fresher, and more youthful again. The treatment reduces nasolabial folds, lifts sagging cheeks, and restores the natural jawline.

For wrinkle treatment with fillers, it is not age but the treatment goal that is decisive. Lip or jawline modeling can be useful as early as the early 20s to optimize the contours and expression of the face. After the 30th birthday, volume replacement gains importance. From the age of 40, it is about building volume, and visible wrinkles are injected.

In addition to hyaluronic acid, other filler substances such as autologous fat may also be considered for treatment. Whether such alternatives are a sensible option for you will be discussed during the consultation in my practice.

Further alternatives to wrinkle injection with hyaluronic acid are wrinkle treatment with autologous fat (lipofilling) or with laser. In lipofilling, the required amount of autologous fat is first removed from other body areas - for example, from the buttocks or thighs - and prepared accordingly. Both methods are particularly suitable for very large-scale modeling of facial contours.

If the nose-mouth area is a particular problem zone for you, the so-called “Bullhorn Lifting” can also be an interesting correction option in addition to wrinkle treatment with fillers. In this procedure, the upper lip is lifted and its distance to the nose is reduced. This is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that also contributes to sustainable facial rejuvenation.

Possible contraindications for wrinkle treatment with hyaluronic acid or other fillers include skin diseases in the face, acute infections, blood clotting disorders, and certain autoimmune diseases. During the individual consultation in my practice in Berlin, I will also address such questions. As a rule, a solution can be found even in such cases.
